ANAGEN PHASE

SCIENCE & RESEARCH BEHIND GROWTHAIR™
☥ Based on a human clinical trial of Anagain Nu, the featured ingredient found in GrowtHair. Study was published in The Phytotherapy Research Journal by the John Wiley & Sons. At baseline (t0), volunteers for the trial experienced mild to moderate hair loss (≥100 lost hairs daily – Mean number 163.7 ± 61.2). Participants collected their hairs lost on the comb/brush in the morning and evening and participated in a dermatological assessment on the scalp on day 0 (t0), day 28 (t1) and day 56 (t2). Volunteers were allowed to continue their regular hair washing routine during the study period, except for the use of products against hair loss. After two months of treatment with Anagain Nu, 95% of participants experienced a reduction of hair loss. Within the first month, the mean number of hairs lost decreased by 33.9%; at the end of month two, a further diminution of hair loss was evidenced as numbers of hair loss decreased by 37.1%. An additional gene expression analysis was performed in which a fluid containing 2% extract of Pissum Sativum was applied on a defined scalp zone of several volunteers. The results of the analysis demonstrated that Anagain enhances the expression of specific genes significant for hair, named fibroblast growth factor‐7 (FGF7) and noggin, by 56 and 85%, respectively. The studies were performed at the Skin Test Institute, Neuchâtel, Switzerland, they were well tolerated by all participants, and no signs of side effects were reported during the trials.
